"It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known..."
Romans 15:20a

Arise Latino: The beginning of a movement

God moves even when we cannot see it. As Helder Favarin shared during one of the evening plenaries, the question is not whether God is playing the violin—He always is. The real question is whether we are listening to His music. Throughout Arise Latino, it became evident that many were not only listening, but responding.

Long before the conference began, God was already at work in the hearts of participants, volunteers, and speakers. Arise Latino became one more movement within God’s greater symphony—a sacred space where His voice could be heard clearly, where obedience was awakened, and where purpose was reaffirmed.

The atmosphere of the gathering reflected the character of Christ: courage, collaboration, humility, service, dedication, creativity, brokenness, simplicity, devotion, willingness, gratitude, hope, vision, and compassion. These were not abstract ideals, but lived expressions—true sacrifices of praise offered to the One who alone is worthy of all honor, glory, power, and strength.

Jesus remained the center of everything. The burning desire to make Him known among every tribe, people, and nation shaped each session, conversation, and moment of prayer. Mission agencies, churches, ministries, pastors, leaders, and young adults came together with open hearts—ready to serve, share, and learn from one another.

We were also deeply encouraged by the strong presence of multiple mission agencies and educational institutions. These organizations invested their time generously and made their resources available to participants, offering guidance, mentorship, and tangible pathways for involvement in global mission. Their presence reinforced a powerful message: the Church is stronger when we walk together.

One of the most meaningful outcomes of Arise Latino was witnessing individuals publicly commit to giving at least one year of their lives to serve among the least reached. These commitments represent more than emotional moments—they reflect a growing movement of obedience, sacrifice, and long-term engagement with God’s global mission.

Though the event has ended, the journey continues. Follow-up is already underway. Relationships are being strengthened. Conversations are continuing. Seeds planted during those days are beginning to take root.

We move forward with faith and expectation, believing that this gathering will produce lasting fruit: new workers sent, new partnerships formed, new churches mobilized, and a new generation awakened to God’s heart for the nations. The best is still ahead, and we eagerly anticipate all that God will accomplish through what He began here.

We invite you to join us in prayer—for those who responded to God’s call, for wisdom in the follow-up process, and for many more to become part of this growing movement.

HOW DID IT START?

It all started with a question: “What would it be like if we could see God ignite the hearts of this younger generation to take the Gospel where there is no witness to the Gospel?”

This question then led to the dream of seeing many young people giving their lives to answer God's call to go and make disciples of all nations. We believe that this dream is possible because we have a God who does impossible things.

It has been almost two millennia since Jesus called His first disciples to follow Him. Since that time, many followers of Jesus have accepted the call to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Now, in the 21st century, the need for the Gospel to be shared and lived among the 3 billion people who do not yet have access to it is tremendous, and God is setting the hearts of Latinos on fire for his glory and purpose. The time has come for a new generation to rise up and participate in God's Great Commission.

We invite you to join this historic moment with thousands of young people around the world who want to live for God's purposes in this generation!
